Vanadium has the chemical element V, it is a hard, silvery-grey, malleable transition metal. 85% of all the vanadium produced is used for steel production as it enhances the strength, toughness, and heat resistance properties of the alloy.
China is the world’s leading producer, with 59% of global production, followed by Russia, with 17 % and South Africa with 7 % of global production.
Vandium is sold as either Vanadium Pentoxide Flake or Ferro Vanadium. The price is not publicly disclosed on reputable trading platforms.
