Trading Halts

A trading halt is the temporary suspension of a company's trading activity.

Trading halts are requested by a company when a price sensitive announcement is near release. The temporary suspension prevents confidential information from leaking to the market prior to official publication.

Trading halts are lifted after the release of the announcement, and cannot last longer than two trading days.
