Potash (K) is the name given to a group of minerals containing potassium.
Potash deposits contain different amounts of potassium, so the industry measures and refers to the mineral by its potassium oxide (K2O) equivalence for consistency.
Potash is used in fertilizers to boost plant growth, increase crop yield, and improve water preservation.
