Welcome back to the Short Seller Series – A recap of the most heavily shorted stocks on the ASX and those experiencing significant changes to short interest over the past week.

Short selling data is four days behind today's date because reporting is not mandatory until three business days after the trade. The tables below will compare:

  • Week-on-week changes between 28 April and 4 May 2026

  • Month-on-month changes between 7 April and 4 May 2026

  • Most covered and rising short tables record week-on-week changes of ~0.5% or more

Most Shorted

Telix held the most-shorted title for just one week before Domino's reclaimed it. Lotus Resources continues to see an aggressive build in short interest, up from around 9.7% a month ago. The stock experienced a 34% one-day selloff on 30 April after retracting mined grade, milled grade and recovery figures from its December 2025 quarter and earlier announcements, citing inconsistencies in laboratory sampling and assaying at Kayelekera. The narrative here is similar to Boss Energy and creates a rather challenged overhang.
