James founded Vocus in 2007 and when he left in 2016 it was an ASX 100 company. James was also a non-executive director of APNIC Pty Ltd from 2008 to 2014, a non-executive director of Indoor Skydive Limited from 2018 to 2019 and a non-executive director of the children's charity, the Humpty Dumpty Foundation. James is a multiple former Ernst & Young Australian Entrepreneur of the year winner. James is a member of the Risk Committee of the ART.
