The S&P/ASX 200 closed 16.2 points higher, up 0.19%.

Resources (XFJ) (+0.76%) and Financials (XFJ) (+0.43%) again did the heavy lifting to drag the ASX 200 to a end-of-day win as well as a solid, albeit small, weekly gain.
