Silver is back on the market's mind again with the front month futures on the COMEX exchange closing at their highest level since March 2013 on a continuous, back-adjusted basis. That's just fancy talk for, demand for silver compared to the supply for silver is the strongest its been for over 12 years.
And that means the silver price is back in short and long term uptrends. It also means that the ASX silver cohort of Adriatic Metals (ADT), Antipa Minerals (AZY), Mithril Resources (MTH), Sun Silver (SS1), Silver Mines (SVL), and Unico Silver (USL) are on the march again (okay, AZY's more gold-copper-silver in that order).
Each of these stocks made Feature Uptrend in this edition. ADT and AZY are clearly the well established continuation setups of the bunch, but MTH, SS1, and USL are also showing newly established short- and long term uptrend combinations. SVL is the turnaround setup of the bunch, but for that type of setup, looks very solid indeed.
How long will the silver run last for? You know I don't do prognostications – trend follower, remember? It will last as long as it lasts.
I just know that there are several setups that meet my criteria for high conviction uptrends right now. With appropriate risk management, it shouldn't matter where the trend ends, simply that one is follows it while it lasts π.
Welcome to my ChartWatch Daily ASX Scans series. Here I present scan lists based on my trend following technical analysis methodology. My goal is to alert you to the best uptrends and downtrends on the ASX.
Feel free to get your favourite AI to convert the tables below into lists you can upload to your favourite trading platform like TradingView. Then you'll be able to skip from chart to chart and quickly and easily see the best uptrends and downtrends on the ASX.
Some investors prefer to buy those stocks in strong uptrends, and avoid, sell, or short sell those stocks in strong downtrends – but how you use the lists is really up to you!
Note, many stocks in both lists have appeared there many times before. As long as they keep meeting my criteria – they'll keep appearing. But note, there won't be any notifications when they don't, so you'll have to do your own research on when a particular trend changes!
