Just a quick note to point out that there's a substantial amount of repetition in today's Uptrends Scan Lists. It's not bad repetition, really, just kind of reinforcing a few themes – but just be careful you don't go overboard on any one theme!
Honestly, I pay zero attention to what the company corresponding to a chart in my scans does. I cannot possibly express to you how little I care about this. They could be selling noise-enhancing headphones for all I care...🎧
Introducing: NoiseBuds™
“Because silence is overrated.”
Instead of cancelling noise, NoiseBuds™ amplifies background chatter so you can feel like you’re always in a café.
Key Features:
Reverse Noise-Cancelling™ Technology: Using advanced anti-AI machine learning, these headphones detect serenity – and immediately destroy it.
Airplane Baby Mode: Randomly cycles between fussy crying, angry crying, and existential wailing – now in Dolby Atmos.
Open-Plan Office Mode: Enhances the sounds of sighs, Slack notifications, and passive-aggressive typing.
Nope... Could... Not... Possibly... Care... Less...
If it's what I classify as a "setup", i.e., I can see that the demand-side is in control of the price and there's some urgency around a potential entry, it goes in the Uptrends Scan List. If I can see very strong signs of demand-side control, e.g., exemplary price action and long demand-side candles – Uptrend Feature Chart. It's that simple.
Which brings me back to the repetition in today's Uptrends Scan List. I'm not sure if you've noticed, but there's coordinated growth across the world's stock markets at the moment. This means there's a bunch of global equities ETFs in today's lists – many playing off the same thematic.
I suggest the world must be awash with cash – because bonds are also going up strongly. So, you guessed it, there are a quite a few bond and fixed interest ETFs in there as well. Note with these particular instruments, the goal is income, not capital growth. So, yes their charts look fantastic – but the growth you might get from owning them is secondary to the income they'll regularly distribute.
That's it! Otherwise, it's a fairly typical list of mainly resources stocks with the odd biotech or Telco thrown in. I would say though, once you account for all those global equities and fixed interest ETFs – it's an oddly scant list given we just made a new record high...🤔

How to use the Uptrends & Downtrends lists, and Feature Chart lists
Feel free to get your favourite AI to convert the tables below into lists you can upload to your favourite trading platform like TradingView. Then you'll be able to skip from chart to chart and quickly and easily see the best uptrends and downtrends on the ASX.
Some investors prefer to buy those stocks in strong uptrends, and avoid, sell, or short sell those stocks in strong downtrends – but how you use the lists is really up to you!
Note, many stocks in both lists have appeared there many times before. As long as they keep meeting my criteria – they'll keep appearing. But note, there won't be any notifications when they don't – so you'll have to do your own research on when a particular trend changes!

Important considerations when using the ChartWatch Daily ASX Scans:
1. For more information on Carl's trend following information, check out his Technical analysis for beginners: ChartWatch Primer.
2. The future is unknown. Anything can happen to change the trends in the lists above. A stock in a perfect uptrend or downtrend may not remain that way by the close of trading today. 2. These lists are not exhaustive, they are curated by Carl. You will find that certain stocks might not appear in a particular list on consecutive days but might reappear when Carl feels it deserves to return to the list. 3. This is not a recommendation service, merely an aid to help you better understand the workings of Carl’s technical analysis model in a practical way. Carl will not alert you to stocks that have dropped off a list because their trend has changed – it's up to you to apply the criteria to determine why a particular stock might not still be included. 4. This is general, educational information only – so always do your own research!!!
