Insider Trades: Directors are buying shares in these 15 ASX small caps

Welcome back to the Insider Trades series – A summary of small cap director transactions that have taken place between 16 to 22 May.

There was a flurry of insider buys last week, so we're only posting the trades worth more than $20,000 as well as paying particular attention to multiple directors transacting in the same company.

Interesting Observations

Matthew Banks tops the list this period, buying north of $155,000 worth – 823,661 units at 19 cents of Rumble Resources in which he is a non-executive director. Rumble’s main project is the Earaheedy zinc-lead sulphide deposit in Western Australia, or which it owns 75%.

Banks’ purchase was the biggest since September last year, when fellow non-executive director Michael Smith bought 500,000 units at 30 cents.

Craig Betley, Director of Finance and compliance at Nova Minerals, was second on the list. He bought north of $100,000 worth of Nova stock – around 300,000 shares at 35 cents each. That sees him holding approximately 1.2 million shares directly and another 2.5 million indirectly. Nova is gold and lithium play, with interest Alaska and stakes in multiple Nasdaq and ASK-listed companies.

The only company with multiple insiders purchasing stock in the period was NT Minerals. NT is a copper explorer with projects in the Northern Territory and South Australia. Malcolm James, Chairman, bought $40,000 worth of stock, whilst Roy Jansen, non-executive director, bought $28,000 worth of stock. NT has seen significant insider buying in recent months, with four transactions in April totalling more than $700,000 worth of stock being purchased.
