Ms Martin has experience across the energy and resources sectors. She started her career as an instrument engineer at a Shell refinery in the UK, and went on to hold engineering, technical and operational roles in refining and distribution. In 2005, she became General Manager of a Shell refinery in France. She had several global assignments, including in strategy and commercial roles, and then as VP Health, Safety and Environment for Shell International Downstream. Her final position with Shell was running Trading and Supply Operations for Europe and Africa. Ms Martin is currently a Non-Executive Director of Sandfire Resources, where she chairs the Nominations and Corporate Governance Committee and serves as a member of the Sustainability and Remuneration Committees; and Beach Energy, where she chairs the Remuneration and Nomination Committee and serves as a member of the Technical Committee. She was previously a Non-Executive Director of Porvair Plc (2016 - 2025), Shell & Turcas Petrol AS (2018 - 2021), and Business in the Community (2007 - 2010).
