Mr Cross was appointed to the Board following the merger of Bega Cheese Limited and Tatura Milk Industries Pty Ltd. Mr Cross joined the Tatura Milk Industries Board in 2003 and was heavily involved in negotiating the initial subscription by Bega of 70% shareholding in Tatura Milk Industries. He also took a lead role in negotiating the scheme of arrangement for Bega to acquire the remaining 30% of Tatura Milk Industries in December 2011. He has represented dairy farmers in many various industry roles, and was formerly the Chair of Murray Dairy.
