Michael L'Estrange

Mr L'Estrange is a member of the Safety, Health, Environment and Security Committee. Mr L'Estrange was Head of the National Security College at the Australian National University from 2009 to 2015. Prior to this, he was the Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade for almost five years and the Australian High Commissioner to the UK between 2000 and 2005. He served as Secretary to Cabinet and Head of the Cabinet Policy Unit from 1996 for more than four years and, prior to that, as Executive Director of the Menzies Research Centre.
