Welcome to the first iteration of Weekly Big Drill Hits – A curated list of the most stunning and intriguing intersections made by ASX-listed explorers for key commodities including gold, lithium and copper.
We will provide weekly updates for commodities that have a high volume of drilling activity, such as gold. While commodities with fewer explorers such as lithium, uranium and nickel will be reported on a monthly and/or ad hoc basis.
Great Boulder (ASX: GBR): Four digit gold grades are extremely rare. However, the otherwise bonanza hit was offset by lackluster widths of just one metre. The stock's price action reflected this mixed result, closing up 1.0% from session highs of 13.4% on the day of the announcement.
Winsome Resources (ASX: WR1): Winsome has been on a hot drilling streak ever since its 4.89% hit back in October 2022. The stock has rallied more than 400% since the first significant pegmatite and also shrugged off two separate capital raisings. The catalyst-rich Adina Project currently has two drill rigs in action and the company expects to provide further updates on an 'on-going basis' to the market.
Cannindah Resources (ASX: CAE): Cannindah has topped this month's copper leaderboards but its share price is struggling for upside. Interestingly, a series of positive exploration results between August and November 2021 propped its share price up more than 800%, only to deflate -70% just two months later.
