Ms Petering has experience as a non executive director and board chair in regulated sectors. She is currently a member of the University of Melbourne Law School Foundation, and a councillor of the Victorian Division of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Sonia previously served as Chair of Rural Finance Corporation of Victoria. She also previously served as a board member of TAL Dai Ichi Life Australia Pty Ltd, Cuscal, Transport Accident Commission of Victoria, and Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water. Sonia served as a member of the Hazelwood Mine Fire Inquiry, and for the past several years, she has assisted the Victorian Minister for Water as one of the members of the selection panel for appointments to the 18 Water Corporation Boards in Victoria. Sonia is Principal of her own legal practice. She is member of the Risk Committee.
