Professor Dougas

Professor Dougas has over 40 years of design, process, project engineering, managerial, commercial and corporate experience having commenced his career in the Melbourne & Metropolitan Board of Works before joining engineering firm Sinclair Knight Merz in 1978. From initial technical roles, he assumed leadership roles in Sydney before returning to Melbourne as Associate Director and Victorian Branch Manager in 1985. In 1995 he was appointed Managing Director Elect and Director of Marketing before becoming Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director in 1996. For the following 15 years, he led a expansion of the firm locally and internationally involving more than 50 local and international acquisitions. He is Chairman of the Operational Risk, Sustainability and Contracts Committee.
