Dr Carter has developed a portfolio career comprising investment management and non-executive Appointments and has been a partner in Kestrel Capital, a Sydney-based specialist alternatives manager, since 2006, where he has raised several funds from institutional and private investors, including the Commonwealth Government; super funds; major banks, and several Australian and International family offices. Before joining Kestrel in 2006, Phillip was a director of a leading UK-based investment management and strategy consulting practice. During this time, Phillip managed the InterTechnology Fund, recognised by the EVCA as one of the most active development capital funds in Europe. Phillip is based in Sydney and has been an executive director and Chairman since 13 October 2025.
