Mr Velez until 2023 was specialising in equity capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and funds management. Peter also advised on activist corporate activity, ASX compliance and corporate governance. Peter has been a practising lawyer since 1989 having worked at the national firm Freehill Hollingdale and Page, Sydney boutique corporate firm Watson Mangioni from 1995 to 2016 and with OB Law from 2016 to 2022. He played a role in the development of externally-managed listed investment companies (LIC) having been involved in the IPO of over 25 LICs. He is also a member of the Risk Committee.
