Peter Cunningham

Mr Cunningham brings commercial expertise from working across the Group in various geographies. He is focused on the decarbonization of our assets, investing in the commodities essential for the energy transition, and delivering attractive returns to shareholders while maintaining financial discipline. During over 3 decades with Rio Tinto, Peter has held several senior leadership roles, including Group Controller, Chief Financial Officer-Organizational Resources, Global Head of Health, Safety, Environment & Communities, Head of Energy and Climate Strategy, and Head of Investor Relations.
