Ms Dean, as a King's Counsel and independent director, has experience in commercial dispute resolution and governance, with a specialty in competition, consumer and regulatory law. Miriam also has experience in the infrastructure and regulatory sectors. Previous roles include Director of Crown Infrastructure Partners; Chair of NZ on Air; Deputy chair of Auckland Council Investments; Deputy chair of Commerce Commission. Current roles outside Chorus: Director of Crown Infrastructure Delivery; Chair of Banking Ombudsman Scheme; Deputy chair of Real Estate Institute of New Zealand; Member of a number of central and local government-related advisory boards. She is member of People, Performance and Culture Committee.
