Mr Farrell before joining Resmed, worked in management consulting, biotechnology, chemicals and metals manufacturing at companies including Arthur D. Little, Sanofi Genzyme, Dow Chemical, and BHP. Mick also serves on the Board of Directors of the Advanced Medical Device Association (AdvaMed) and in December 2025, was appointed Chair of AdvaMed for a term of two years starting in January 2026. Mick has served as a Director at Zimmer Biomet (NYSE: ZBH), a public company that provides implantable musculoskeletal medical devices for patients globally, since December 2014, and in January 2025 became Lead Independent Director. He is also a member of two committees at Zimmer Biomet: the Compensation and Management Development committee as well as the Quality, Regulatory & Technology Committee. Mick volunteers for non-profit organizations including Boston College Engineering Advisory Board, UC San Diego Rady School of Management Dean's Advisory Council, Director of Rady Children's Hospital, and as a trustee for Father Joe's Villages' project for the homeless in San Diego, California.
