Mr DeLacy is a past president of the Queensland Division of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). He was the State Member for Cairns for fifteen years and Treasurer of Queensland from 1989 to 1996. Mr DeLacy is on the advisory Board of both Queensland Leaders and the Graduate School of Business at QUT. Over the years he has been Chairman of Macarthur Coal, Cubbie Group, COFCO Australia, Queensland Sugar (QSL) and the Global Sugar Alliance, Ergon Energy and the Trinity Group, as well as a range of not-for profits. He is the Chairman of Compliance and Risk Committee.
