James Jim McLean

Mr McLean has experience serving as a chair, director, and executive of research and technology businesses for commercial and New Zealand government organisations. He was Chair of the New Zealand Institute of Plant and Food Research and its predecessor HortResearch and served on the board of the Foundation for Research, Science, and Technology, including five years as Deputy Chair. Before specialising in science and technology businesses, he held management positions with an international manufacturing business and was a partner at EY, where his work focused on business strategy, including a secondment to EY's Washington DC office. He is a member of the risk committee.
