Mr. Chafkin has more than 30 years of experience in financial services leadership in the asset management sector, primarily in North America. He is currently the Chief Investment Officer of Retirement Income Advisors, LLC (dba Preservation Capital Management). He was previously the Vice Chairman Investments of AssetMark Financial Holdings, Inc. (until April 2022). He was also previously CEO at AlphaSimplex Group, IXIS Asset Management US and spent nearly a decade at Charles Schwab in a range of roles. He began his career at Bankers Trust Company where he spent almost 15 years in a variety of asset management roles working with institutional clients in the USA and abroad. Mr. Chafkin is a member of the Risk Committee and Governance Committee.
