Jeremy Ellis

Mr Ellis has had a career in business in the resources sector. Mr Ellis' career includes three decades at BHP, chairing the company from 1997 to 1999. He also served on the boards of a number of listed companies and governing bodies including Newcrest Mining, Aurora Gold, the International Copper Association, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group, the International Council on Metals and the Environment and the American Mining Congress. Mr Ellis is former Chairman of Alzheimers Australia, former Chancellor of Monash University, former President of the Minerals Council of Australia and former Chairman of the Australia Japan Foundation and the Australian National Occupational Health and Safety Commission.
