Ian Watt

Dr Watt worked for nearly 20 years at very senior levels of the Australian public service before making the change to the corporate sector. His most recent appointment in the public sector was as Secretary of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and head of the Australian Public Service, a position he held from 2011 to 2014. Before that, he was Secretary of the Departments of Defence, Finance, and Communications, Information Technology and the Arts between 2001 and 2011 and Deputy Secretary of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. He is Chair of the Environment, Social and Governance Committee and member of the Risk Committee and IT and Innovation Committee.
