Mr Karelis has experience in the technology start-up environment, particularly in the cyber-security, artificial-intelligence and defence sectors. He has over 33 years experience in the capital markets, with roles in financial analysis, funds management and private-equity investing in Australia and overseas, and has been an angel investor in a number of start-up companies with board-level experience across a range of private and public companies. Mr Karelis was also an independent, non-executive director of Polus Tech Pty Ltd . Mr Karelis was previously a non-executive director of Sapien Cyber Limited, a Western Australian-based cyber security company.
