Mr Sher was Chief of Staff and policy coordinator to Israeli Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Ehud Barak, a senior negotiator at the Camp David summit and the Taba talks (1999 2001), and formerly a delegate to the 1995 Israeli Palestinian Interim Agreement negotiations under PM Rabin. He is the Isaac and Mildred Brochstein Fellow in Middle East Peace and Security in Honor of Yitzhak Rabin at the Baker Institute and served as a senior fellow at the Tel Aviv Institute for National Security Studies INSS. Since 2013, Mr Sher chairs the Executive Board of Sapir Academic College, one of the leading public colleges in Israel, situated in the Gaza envelope.
