Christopher Wharton

Mr Wharton is Chairman of Thriver Finance, a WA-based investment company. He is the former Chief Executive Officer of Seven West Media WA (SWM) and led the acquisition of the Seven Media Group, which ultimately became Seven West Media. He has worked in all areas of newspaper management in Sydney before being appointed Chief Executive Officer of Perth's Community Newspaper Group in 1995. In 2013, he became Chairman of Community Newspaper Group. His community and business involvement includes board memberships of the Telethon Trust from 2000-2017 and Gold Corporation from 2002-2019. Chris was a member of the WA Olympic Team Appeal Committee from 2000-2017 and a director of the West Coast Eagles Football Club from 2013-2021. He is a Member of the Risk Committee.
