Bruce Akhurst

Mr Akhurst is a Director of McMillan Shakespeare Limited. He is also Chairman of the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation and a Council Member of RMIT University. Mr Akhurst was the Executive Chairman of Adstream Holdings Pty Ltd and was a Director of Vocus Group Limited and private investment company Paul Ramsay Holdings Pty Ltd. In his executive career, Mr Akhurst was Chief Executive Officer of Sensis Pty Ltd and a Director and Chairman of Foxtel. He also spent seven years as Group Managing Director and Group General Counsel at Telstra Corporation Limited, and prior to that he was a Partner at Mallesons Stephen Jaques. Mr Akhurst has experience in legal and regulatory compliance, governance and risk management, marketing and customer experience, digital innovation, information technology, strategy, finance and capital management.
