Mr Zhang, joined Yankuang Energy in 1989 and was appointed as the Head of the Planning and Finance department of Yankuang Energy in 2002. He was appointed as a Director and Company Secretary of Yankuang Energy in 2006 and Deputy General Manager in 2011. He was appointed as Non-Executive Director of Yancoal on 26 June 2012, and subsequently appointed a Co-Vice Chairman of Yancoal on 20 December 2013. He became the Chair of the Executive Committee of Yancoal on 20 January 2014. In October 2015, he became a director of Shandong Energy Group Company and a standing member of the CPC Shandong Energy Group Committee. In February 2018, he was appointed as the General Counsel of Shandong Energy. He was appointed as the Chair of the Board of Yancoal on 8 June 2018. In July 2020, he was appointed as the Deputy General Manager of Shandong Energy Group and a standing member of the CPC Shandong Energy Group Committee. In June 2021, he was appointed as the General Manager, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shandong Energy Group Committee and a Director of Shandong Energy Group.
