Ms Patterson has worked as a founder of a venture fund and has engineering and business experience. Since April 2017, Ms Patterson has served as Founder and Managing Partner at Gradient Ventures, Google's artificial intelligence-focused venture fund, and since September 2010, as a Vice President of Engineering at Google. Prior to that, from January 2007 to September 2010, Ms Patterson served as Co-Founder and President at Cuil, and from February 2004 to January 2007, as Director of Engineering at Google. Ms Patterson also currently serves on the National Council at the School of Engineering and Applied Science at Washington University in St. Louis and on the boards of directors of a number of privately held companies. She is also member of the Risk Committee of the SQ2.
