Deep Dive

Meeka (ASX:MEK) is a junior gold and rare earths company with a portfolio of high quality 100% owned projects across Western Australia.

Gold

Meeka’s flagship Murchison Gold Project has a combined 343km² landholding in the prolific Murchison Gold Fields and hosts a large high-grade 1.1Moz Mineral Resource. The Company is actively growing these resources while also progressing toward production. The release of the Murchison Gold Project Scoping Study in December 2021 outlined a robust Project intending to produce over 420koz of gold.

In addition, Meeka owns the Circle Valley Project in the Albany-Fraser Mobile Belt (also host to the Tropicana gold mine – 3Moz past production). Gold mineralisation has been identified in four separate locations at Circle Valley and presents an exciting growth opportunity, which is being aggressively pursued.

Rare Earths

Meeka controls the Cascade Rare Earths Project (2,068km2 ) in a region that is rapidly emerging as a highly prospective clay rare earths province. Importantly, the results to date contain high levels of permanent magnet metals being Neodymium-Praseodymium oxides.  These metals are geopolitically critical and the company intends to accelerate our understanding of Cascade by commencing initial metallurgical work. The company has scheduled ongoing drilling for the Cascade Project. .

Projects

Meekathara, WA

Murchison Gold Project

The Andy Well and Gnaweeda Gold Projects cover the northern extent of the Mount Magnet Shear Zone (Andy Well Mine) and the Youanmi Shear Zone (Gnaweeda Project). The project tenure includes 46km² of granted Mining Leases and 297km² of Exploration Licenses.

Highlights:

  • High confidence, high grade 1.1Moz gold Mineral Resource with 65% in Measured and Indicated classification and clear pathway to growth through drilling of high priority near-mine exploration targets.

  • Strategic land holding in Murchison Gold Field proximate to 3x large gold processing plants (343km² Mining Leases and Exploration Licenses).

  • Past production by Doray Minerals Limited of over 330,000 ounces at 8g/t gold when gold price was A$1,600/oz.

  • Extensive infrastructure remains in place at Andy Well.

  • Comprehensive exploration dataset ($30m replacement value) acquired with the project including sub-audio magnetic, aeromagnetic and gravity data, and a drill hole database containing 786,500m of geological information.

Albany Fraser Region, WA

Circle Valley Gold Project

Meeka Gold’s Circle Valley Gold Project is located 85km south of Norseman in Western Australia. Circle Valley covers a soil-covered section of the southwestern Albany-Fraser Mobile Belt where limited past reconnaissance-style aircore (AC) drilling had located primary gold mineralisation in two separate locations.

Highlights:

  • Two bedrock gold occurrences within otherwise unexplored terrain at Circle Valley is an excellent indicator of potential broader gold mineralisation.

  • Previous exploration along the western edge of the Albany Fraser Mobile Belt has resulted in the discovery of the 7.1Moz Tropicana gold mine.

  • The potential prize with this type of target could be a new gold ‘camp’.

Milestones

Historical Milestones

Wide zones of shallow high-grade mineralisation intersected south of Turnberry at St Anne’s in late 2021
Cascade Rare Earth Project secured under 2,068km2 of Exploration Licenses/Applications with significant areas of elevated rare earth elements identified in drilling
Circle Valley Project gold exploration advanced materially with shallow gold mineralisation intersected in the very first RC hole.
Circle Valley Project rare earth exploration initiated with the identification of regolith clay hosted REE mineralisation, aircore drilling returned thick zones of mineralisation over a 7km x 5km area

Future Milestones

16,000m of assay results pending for Circle Valley – expected to be received periodically over the coming 3 months
Cascade Rare Earth assays due in the next few weeks
Exploration field work targeting REE mineralisation planned to commence in the second half of 2022
